What You Need to Play Sports at Acalanes

What you need to sign up for Sports at Acalanes High School?

Each athlete at Acalanes is required to have a physical, pay their sports donations costs, and to turn in completed Athletic Clearance forms.  All forms must be completed and turned in with the sports donation costs prior to practicing or playing for any team.  These items must be hand delivered to the to the Acalanes Athletic Director or representative.

Athletic Clearance Forms

All athletes must complete a yearly physical prior to participating in after school sports.  A physician must give the examination any time after July 1, and prior to the start of practice.  The physician must sign the Physician’s statement.

Sports Participation Costs

The Acalanes Union High School District requests that all athletes to pay a Sports Participation Donation Cost.  These donations are used to pay for the costs of team transportation, district coaching stipends, safety equipment and facilities.

The 2009-10 District Sports Donation Costs by athlete are as follows: 

One Sport $156.00
Two or more Sports $312.00

There is a family maximum limit of $520.00 of Sports Participation Cost per year.

North Coast Section Scholastic Awards

The North Coast Section recognizes the academic excellence of athletes and their teams at the end of the Fall, Winter, and Spring sports seasons.  Qualifying individuals (3.5 GPA or better) and teams (3.0 GPA or better) are recognized by special NCS Scholar/Athlete certificate.  For more information please visit their website “Awards” section.
