The Women's Golf Remains Undefeated in DFAL at 7-0!

The Dons' continued their dominance of the Golf Course with another victory Friday over College Park.  The team shot a 160 in securing the easy win to remain undefeated on the year.  The team plays Miramonte Tuesday in Orinda for a 3:30pm match.  Both teams are tied for the DFAL lead with undefeated records.

Senior's Carie Brueckner and Katie Stark shot a 42 to lead the Don's to a win over Northgate for the second day in a row on Wednesday afternoon at the Rossmoor course.  The 6-0 Dons' all had good days for the 169-214 win.

Brueckner continued her great week with a low score of 34 in a non-league game versus Livermore at the Wente Course on Thursday as the Don's defeated the Cowboys 186-242.

Dons' Golfer Named Star of the Week in Contra Costa Sun!

Dons' Annie Daher was named a "Star of the Week" in the Contra Costa Sun for her early play on the undefeated Golf Team.  Read the Article dated 10/2 here.

The Women's Golf Team Takes Two in Orinda, Remain Undefeated!

The Dons' faced another undefeated team in Orinda on Tuesday and came away the lone leader of the DFAL.  In a combo match that included the team from College Park and the golfers from Miramonte (now 7-1), the team shot a low of 177 to take both matches.  Katie Stark led the team with a low score of 43 on the tough par-37 course at the Orinda Country Club.  The Dons' team had the three other low scores:  Megan Padua (44), Carie Brueckner and Annie Daher (45 each).  Read the Summary from the Contra Costa Times dated 10/9 here.

Another Dons' Golfer Named Star of the Week in Contra Costa Sun!

For the second week in a row, a Don's Golfer was named Star of the Week in the Contra Costa Sun.  This time, Dons' Carie Brueckner was honored following a week when she led the team in four victories, including a non-league event in Livermore.  Read the Article dated 10/9 here.

Undefeated Golf Team Does it Again versus Miramonte!

Megan Padua (41), Carie Brueckner (42) and Annie Daher (44) led the Dons' Golf Team to a 170-192 win over Miramonte (8-2) on Friday to go 11-0 in the DFAL.  The 22-stroke win was the closest any competition has come to the Dons' this fall.  The Team will play Livermore in a non-league game on Wednesday at Rossmoor.

Acalanes Finishes Second in Deer Valley Invitational!

The Dons' were only one of two teams that had all four golfers finish under 100 in the 18-hole Deer Valley Invitational.  The Ladies finished with a combined score of 367 which was 13 strokes behind the team from Carondelet.  Megan Padua had a low of 90 to lead the Dons'.  

Four Dons' Golfer's Named Star of the Week in Contra Costa Sun!

For the third week in a row, A Dons' Golfer was named Star of the Week in the Contra Costa Sun.  This time the "Fearsome Foursome", a.k.a. Katie Stark, Megan Padua, Carie Brueckner, and Annie Daher were all names a Star of the Week.  Read the Article dated 10/16 here.

Acalanes Golf Goes Undefeated to Win DFAL League Championship!

The Dons' Women's Golf team completed their undefeated DFAL season with a victory when Los Lomas forfeited the match on Thursday.  The team went 12-0 and was led by the "Fearsome Foursome", a.k.a. Katie Stark, Megan Padua, Carie Brueckner, and Annie Daher.

Acalanes Golf Cruises in DFAL League Tournament!

The Dons' Women's Golf team continued their magical season with a strong showing in the DFAL Tournament played at the Diablo Creek Golf Course on Tuesday.  The team won by a 42-stroke margin and their top players remained the force.  The team from Miramonte finished in second place.

Acalanes Golf Wins North Coast Section Championship!

Congratulations to the Dons' Women's Golf team that capped their undefeated season with both DFAL League and now NCS Championships.  On Monday, playing at the Roddy Ranch Golf Course, Acalanes shot a low team total of 457 to win by  just eight strokes over Deer Valley in the 20-team Championship.  Acalanes did not win any individual titles, but had the only team with all of their shooters record scores under 100.  Annie Daher (87) and Carie Brueckner (88) led the Dons' low scorers.

Dons' Golfer Annie Daher Named Athlete of the Week in Contra Costa Times!

Annie was also named the "Athlete of the Week" in the Contra Costa Times on Friday, November 1st.  Congratulations Annie!!!

Acalanes Places Fifth in Northern California Championships!

Acalanes placed fifth on Monday in the California Golf Association/CIF Championship played at the Butte Creek Country Club in Chico.  The team had a total of 354 as all four golfers shot 90 or lower.  This caps off a great season for the Dons' Women's Golf Team that captured the NCS Championship last week.  Read the Contra Costa Times article dated 11/5 here.
