Don's Wresting Team Shocks Campolindo in Pre-Season Tune-up!

The rise of the Acalanes Wrestling Program took another big step when the team defeated pre-season DFAL favorites Campolindo on Thursday in opening DFAL match by a 45-31 final.  Campo results are always in the CC Times, but somehow this event conveniently missed the scoreboard.  This is unquestionably the biggest win in Coach Bob Chance's three year tenure at Acalanes.  The team will compete in this weekends Lou Bronzon Tournament in Liberty.  Congratulations to Coach Chance and his entire program on the big win and good luck at this weekends tournament.

Acalanes Wrestling Team Make Some Recent History with Second Win!

The Acalanes Sports Programs have had a lot of success in recent years, but the Don's Wrestling program has not had much to write home about winning only one DFAL league match in three years with that win coming last year to break a long streak.  We it's time to break-up the team as the Don's prevailed again in their match against Dublin on Thursday making the team 2-0 in the DFAL.  The Don's had earlier upset Campolindo in their first DFAL match.  This may become one of the best stories of the year and congratulations to the team and Coach Bob Chance for building a competitive team out of this youthful squad.  At the San Ramon Valley Invitational this weekend, the wrestling team had three people place in the top six including Jordan Rudman (3rd), Hunter Francis (4th), and
Dan Plauche (6th).

Jon Chapparo, Khambo Keomanee, Jordan Rudman, Dan Plauche, Alex Richmond, and Sean Bach won matches for the upstart 3-1 team.  The wrestling team competes in the Lawrence Miller Invitational at Alhambra High this Saturday..

Don's Wrestling Team Wins First Match in Two-Years!

For Don's Wrestling Coach Bob Chance, it was worth the wait as he saw his Don's Wrestling team come up with their first DFAL match win in the two years he has been their Head Coach.  Although several of the individual wins were by forfeit, the Don's move into the win column for the first time this season with a 1-1 record.  The Don's went 0-9 last year in the DFAL.  Congratulations to the Men's Wrestling program and coach Chance.
