  Alex lova Earns Rare All-DFAL Honor for Acalanes Women's Tennis Team!

 

The Don's Women's Tennis team had an impressive season with an improved record, strong play in the DFAL Championships and that improvement was capped off nicely with Alex lova earning a Second Team All-DFAL honor.  It's not to often that the Don's place a player in the All-DFAL list, but lova had a great year and shows that the Acalanes Tennis program is on the rise.  Congratulations to Alex for a great year.

  No Surprise Here, Taylor Lee is DFAL MVP in Women's Golf, Two Others Honored!

 

Taylor Lee, Acalanes four-year starter on the Women's Golf team won the DFAL's top honor with the Most Valuable Player honor capping a great season.  The Don's also landed two other players to the list with Morgan Perales making the First Team and Jessica Bruns earning a Second Team honor.  Congratulations Ladies!

In what was a rebuilding year for the Women's Water Polo program, one bright spot was the play of Taylor Stern who was recognized with a second team All-DFAL selection.  Congratulations to Taylor!

  Alley Mitchell and the Bouza Sisters Recognized with All-DFAL Honors in Volleyball!

 

Three Acalanes seniors were honored with All-DFAL selections in Women's Volleyball with Carly Bouza and Alley Mitchell were selected to the first team and Carly's sister Alex earning a second team nod.  Carly was out most of the year with an injury and was the leagues MVP last season, but was recognized by the DFAL coaches for her contributions along with Alley and Alex on a great year for the Women's Volleyball season.  Congratulations Ladies!

The strong season for the Men's Cross Country team was recognized when two of their runners were honored with First Team All-DFAL selections.  Joey Thomas and Connor Mooney earned first team honors while on the Women's team, veteran star runner Mo Huber again earned a first team recognition.  Congratulations on a great year.

  Men's Water Polo Team Recognized with Seven Players Earning All-DFAL Selections!

 

The Men's Water Polo team had a great year going 6-1 in league play and made a statement with a great NCS run.  The DFAL coaches recognized the Don's season by selecting no less the seven players to their first and second All-DFAL teams.  Earning first team honors were Steve Andron, Dino Sulprizio and Nick Ferrif.  Paul Burgin, Jake Norton, Brian Schnugg and Robert Graves were selected to the second team.  Congratulations on a great year gentlemen!

  Ten Don's Football Players Recognized by DFAL Coaches on First and Second All-DFAL Teams!

 

The season may not have yielded a DFAL title, but the Don's Football players were recognized for an outstanding season when ten players landed a total of 13 slots on the 2005 All-DFAL teams.  Gavin Beeman earned three spots, (First Team Defensive Back and Utility Player, and Second Team Quarterback), while Chris Bohanan and Dan Masi each earned Second team honors on Offense and Defense.  Congratulations on a great year to the Ten Don's players listed below.

  Kyle Hertel and Ryan McCowan Top List of All-DFAL Men's Soccer Honorees!

 

Winning the DFAL title brought a lot of attention to the Don's Men's Soccer team, and no less than eight players were honored with All-DFAL selections.  Among the top honors, Senior Kyle Hertel was selected as co-MVP and Junior goaltender Ryan McCowan was selected as the leagues Most Valuable Defensive player.  Vincente Andrade, Ben and Jacob Geier were selected to the First Team and Nick Cherne, Jon Klueger and Andy Shumaker were honored with second team selections.  Congratulations on a great year.

  Jordan Fillmore and Molly Peterson Earn All-DFAL Basketball Team Selections!!

 

It was a great year for Jordan Fillmore who helped the Don's reach the NCS playoffs and was second in the DFAL in scoring/  The Junior was honored with a first team All-DFAL selection for his efforts.  On the Women's side, Senior Molly Peterson was selected to the Women's team following a terrific year.  Congratulation to both players and good luck to the departing Ms. Peterson.

 Men's Golf Lands Four Players on All-DFAL Teams!

 

The Acalanes Men's Golf team placed four players on the All-DFAL teams for 2006 with Ryan Collins earning First team honors and three others making the second team.  Michael Fajardo, Spencer Blodgett and Jack Sullivan were honored with second-team berths.  Congratulations to these four and the entire Men's program for another strong year.

 Acalanes Men's Tennis Recognized By Coaches on All-DFAL Teams, Six Players Honored!

 

It was quite a year for the Don's Men's Tennis program and they were honored by the DFAL coaches when two singles players and two doubles teams were selected to the All-DFAL teams for 2006.  In what has to be some kind of a record, the Don's placed Gordon Forrest on the first team and Spencer Perloff on the second team for singles players, and the team of Andy Durgin and John Karsant were selected to the first team in doubles with Scott Ho and Scott Hartong-Redden earning second team honors as a doubles team.  Congratulations to these six and the entire Men's program for outstanding and thrilling year.

Winning the DFAL helped the Don's in the post season Baseball All-DFAL selections as six players were honored, including five first team positions.  Travis Beecroft, Derek Poppert, Dan Masi, Chris Bohannan and Brian Diemer were honored with first team All-DFAL selections while Joey Wallace earned a second team honor.

Acalanes Softball's Junior catcher Sara Stenson was selected to the All-DFAL First team for the second consecutive year while Hannah Fraschieri earned a second team nod.  Haley Ward and Jennifer Silva were All-DFAL "Honorable Mention".

 Men's Volleyball Lands Three Players on All-DFAL Teams!

 

The Acalanes Men's Volleyball team placed three players on the All-DFAL teams for 2006 with Eric Thomas earning First team honors and two others making the second team as Charles Henrikson and Terence Chen were honored.
