Men's Lacrosse is 8-1 in League Play Following 17-5 Crushing of Las Lomas Tuesday!

The Acalanes Men's Lacrosse team is quietly having a great season and improved to 8-1 in League play. The Don's swarmed Las Lomas for a 17-5 win on Tuesday and took some pride in defeating the only team that had beat them in DFAL play this year. Overall the Don's improved to 13-6 and have won six straight games as they head into Friday's final game against Miramonte. A win in that game should give the Don's a share of the DFAL title at minimum. The Men's team started the season with 1-4 start but has only two loses since and appear to be strong candidate in the upcoming NCS playoffs. Among the highlights on Tuesday, Christian Skuce scored 3 goals and had 2 assists, Sam Nep scored 3 goals and had 1 assist, Clark Winslow scored 3 goals, Brett Winters, Jimmy Jun and Nick Gaubert each scored 2 goals and had 2 assists, and Forrest Cheney had 8 saves. The Don's will play at Miramonte on Friday with a 5:30pm game time.

Lacrosse Teams Finish DFAL Campaign With Huge Games Friday, Results When Available!

The Acalanes Men's and Women's Lacrosse team fell in their final DFAL games to Miramonte. The Men lost 9-4 at Miramonte while the Women's fell 17-1 in a game played at Acalanes. Miramonte ended the DFAL season with titles for each team, while the Don's each finished in second place. Congrats on a strong season for both our Don's teams.

Lacrosse Preview 5/11/07

Acalanes vs. Miramonte, 5/11/07 --

The Lady Don's Lacrosse team has one DFAL game remaining and it's a big one. With one loss in DFAL play, the Don's will face Lamorinda rival Miramonte in their final league game this Friday on "Senior Night" at Acalanes. The game time is 7:00pm with the Senior festivities started before the game. Miramonte has yet to lose in DFAL play and a win by the Don's will earn them a co-championship and a automatic NCS bid. A loss may result in the Don's not earning a NCS at-large berth due to only eight overall teams qualifying for this year's NCS playoffs. Plan to come out and support our Lady Don's in this huge game.

The Men's Lacrosse Team plays at Miramonte at 7:30pm with an opportunity to claim the DFAL title as well.

Nearly one-third of the Men's Lacrosse All-DFAL selections for the 2007 season were Acalanes Don's. Among the first-team selections were Christian Skuce, Brett Winters and Nick Gaubert. Earning second-team honors were Forrest Cheney, Max Fivey and Clark Winslow. Congratulations to the entire Men's Lacrosse program for an outstanding season and good luck to the departing seniors.

Senior Luke Musser was honored as the Men's Lacrosse Co-MVP of the DFAL and the Don's received six other players on the All-DFAL first and second teams.
