Men's Lacrosse Scores 17 Times in Lopsided Win Over Dublin!

The Don's finished ninth at the DFAL Team Wrestling Championships on Saturday.  They had two wrestlers earn third-place finished with Ian Rudin and Parker Grant earning wins in the 130 and 135 weight classes respectively.  See the complete results below.

Men's Lacrosse Pounds Las Lomas 19-4 in DFAL Game on Thursday!

 

The Men's Lacrosse team scored 19 goals for the second game in-a-row as the defeated Las Lomas on Thursday.  Overall the team is on a scoring binge as they have netted 55 goals and given up only six in their last three games, obviously all wins.  They host Northgate on Friday, see the preview below.

Northgate at Acalanes, College Park at Campolindo, boys lacrosse, May 2, 7:30 p.m.: —

Acalanes, ranked 11th in Northern California, will have a chance to improve on that ranking when they play 60th ranked Northgate. Meanwhile, Campolindo is now 42nd and will have a winnable game against 55th ranked College Park.

Several Acalanes Student/Athletes Are Among CC Sun's Stars of the Week!

 

Contra Costa Sun Stars of the Week 5/9/08
Andy Hoffman, Acalanes baseball  --  Hoffman pitched a complete game in leading the Dons to a big 7-1 win over Las Lomas.

Sean Nixon, Acalanes baseball -- Nixon was 2-for-4 at the plate, leading Acalanes offensively in the win over Las Lomas.

Cam Gordon, Acalanes volleyball -- Gordon had a huge game, coming up with 13 blocks and 12 kills in a 3-0 win over Miramonte.

Katie Gray, Acalanes Softball -- Gray pitched the first seven innings of the Dons nine-inning 2-1 win over Las Lomas.  She also was 1-for-3 at the plate.  She then followed that up with a no-hitter in a 5-0 win over Dublin. 

Christian Skuce, Acalanes boys lacrosse -- Skuce was unstoppable in the Dons 16-1 win over Northgate, finishing with four goals and three assists.

Acalanes Men's Lacrosse Team is Honored With Seven All-DFAL Selections!

After a stellar season by the Men's Lacrosse team, The DFAL Coaches announced that seven Don's players had made the All-DFAL team.  On the first team, Jimmy Jun, Sam Nep, Christian Skuce and Robert Mull were selected while Logan Quinn and Jeff Toten earned second team honors.  Will Long was an honorable team recipient.  Congratulations to these fine players and good luck to the departing seniors.

Six Men's Lacrosse Players Earn All-DFAL Honors!

Nearly one-third of the Men's Lacrosse All-DFAL selections for the 2007 season were Acalanes Don's.  Among the first-team selections were Christian Skuce, Brett Winters and Nick Gaubert.  Earning second-team honors were Forrest Cheney, Max Fivey and Clark Winslow.  Congratulations to the entire Men's Lacrosse program for an outstanding season and good luck to the departing seniors.
